My art on Bluethumb

Well hello! How are you this fine day?me painting swirls

I am well, in fact, I am great because you chose to visit me!

Did you come here to see my art? Well that’s great, there is plenty here to look at and I am sure I will add more soon.

All of this art was painted by me, created by me, and all the mess that came with them was made by me as well.

You can see all my art on Bluethumb as well. If you click the names of my art it will take you to directly to my bluethumb page for that piece of art. Where you will have to option to purchase it, if you so desire. But maybe you are just here to look, that’s okay everyone loves window shopping.

I would love if you shared my art pages with your family and friends. Art is like books, it was made to be shared! Speaking of books, did you know I create them too? If you are interested, have a look around the rest of my website. You never know, you might find something you like.

Anyway back to the reason you found your way here!

 Aspects.

This painting nagged at me all day and it was hard to do my editing for my second novel.
Eventually, the desire to paint won out and I had all my paints out creating another spectacular mess. To get some indication, see the picture of me painting it.
Sometimes it takes me longer to clean up the mess then it does for me to create it.
I love these shades of blue and they really stand out against a white wall, they way they drift through each other is quite pleasant.

This is the fourth piece in my abstract series #4 apsects clese 2
Also comes with my signature on the painting
In every single one of my paintings is a tiny stick man, this is how you know my pictures are authentic.

Palette

This painting was so much fun to make.
I only used my hands for this one, no tools and I loved every second of it.
There is something about being covered in paint that reminds me of my childhood.
This one I created on a rainy afternoon when I decided some bright colours were in order.
Like all of my paintings, I just let myself go with no clear direction of what I am painting.
Painting with my heart and not with my brain allows for a deeper emotional connection and a raw and beautiful form of art.

This piece is an eye drawer, and people cannot walk into a room without noticing it.
This commanding piece deserves a place of honour.
Your living room perhaps?

Drift couch

Drift

Life is natural and fluid, and that’s what inspired this artwork. The idea for this kept me awake all night and the next morning I finally gave in and let my creativity reign. This piece took me an entire day to complete and there wasn’t a single wasted second.
The way the colours blend and flow has almost a magical sense and the depth of the picture leaves much to the imagination. this one green
Colours such as these should be seen in a bright and welcoming place. Your living room perhaps? This is the first piece in my abstract series #1

Pulse

This is another piece that has once more pulled me from my sleep.
I awoke suddenly with the need to paint with reds. So I dragged myself from my warm bed and the loving embrace of my bride to be to make a massive mess in the loungeroom where I do my paintings.
This was created in a kind of frenzy with a combination of hands and sponges.
Like a said, it was messy.
It looks great on a wall, and the swirls almost seem to move when you watch them from a distance. Almost as if it has a life of its own. Or does it?
It is a fantastic way to bring light into a room, but be careful this demanding piece will this one redconstantly draw your attention.

inferno living room

Inferno

Have you ever read Dante’s Inferno?
Well, that’s where this inspiration came from. I came across this piece of literature while undertaking my post-graduate certificate in ancient history and some of the mental imagery from the book stuck with me. This painting was one of my more structured paintings, in the way that I knew which colours I was going to use before I started.
This picture is very bright and it draws the eye. The flames almost seem to move.

This is the fifth piece in my abstract series #5 IMG_5264
I always paint the sides of my canvas to match the picture.
This painting comes with a triple gloss finish.

That’s all my paintings for now. Feel free to like them on bluethumb, share them with your friends, or even add them to your own personal collection.

Until next time, I’ll be writing or painting. Either way, you can be sure a big mess will be involved.

See you then!
